Enrichment Programs at Center School:

The CSPTO sponsors a variety of enrichment programs to enhance and support learning throughout the year.  Programs support teachers and staff and align with curriculum and frameworks.
Highlights of programs funded include:

Discovery Museum

The Discover Museum offers programs for all of our students that include Light and Color, Bubbles, Physical States of Matter, Force and Motion, and Earth Science.

Johnny the K

Johnny the K sings to the entire the school at the start of the year. His popular program encourages students to be their best and make good choices.

New England Aquarium

Kindergartners will learn about tide pool animals and other interesting aquatic facts with New England Aquarium educators.

Dig It- Science Made Fun!

Our second grade students will step into the world of the Rock Cycle to uncover the mysteries of rocks, fossils and crystals. They'll pan for real gems and perform a battery of tests to classify them.

Michelle's Minagerie

First graders will experience Michelle's Menagerie-- Michelle's Menagerie combines entertainment and education to create an exciting learning experience that will long be remembered! Michelle is a wildlife educator whose programs provide an opportunity to learn about animals and their importance in the world. This is not a petting zoo, it is an awesome wildlife encounter.

WINGMASTERS

Wingmasters will present New England Birds of Prey, featuring various live raptors, to the third grade classes. The program is designed to explain predation, the birds’ place at the top of the food web, their different hunting adaptations and their status in a rapidly changing world. This engaging, interactive program will also feature many opportunities for the students to engage with the presenters and ask questions.
